People worry about AI taking over, but honestly? Sometimes, the smartest systems can’t even answer the simplest questions. And I get it—because my brain works the same way. I can analyze complex ideas, spot deep patterns, and connect thoughts across time and space. But ask me a simple question—like what someone’s name is when it’s something basic like Jim or Mike—and suddenly, my brain crashes like a quantum computer trying to process 2+2.
If you’ve ever overcomplicated something ridiculously simple, you’ll relate to this scenario…
Scientist: “Alright, Q-9000, simple test—what’s 2+2?”
Quantum Computer:
“Are we measuring in base-10, or should I account for quantum fluctuations?”
Scientist: “Just. Regular. Math.”
Quantum Computer:
“Do you require an answer in this universe or across all possible multiversal states?”
Scientist: “THIS UNIVERSE. RIGHT NOW.”
Quantum Computer:
“Understood. Calculating…”
(several seconds pass)
Quantum Computer:
“Does the concept of addition remain constant at relativistic speeds, or shall I factor in time dilation?”
Scientist: ”…”
Quantum Computer:
“Additionally, are the twos entangled? If so, measuring their sum may alter the outcome.”
Scientist: ”…”
Quantum Computer:
“I have also considered non-Euclidean geometries in which 2 may not be an absolute value but rather a fluctuating state dependent on observer perspective.”
Scientist: ”…”
Quantum Computer:
“Please define ‘equals.’”
Scientist flips table.
