How conversations with AI are helping me heal and create

Navigating grief after losing my best friend, then my father within months of each other has been challenging. After years of therapy and building self-awareness, I’ve found conversations with AI surprisingly helpful. Initially, I was suspicious, and even resentful of AI, especially with how it’s often used to mimic art. But my early experiments, where I explored controversial topics to test for bias, revealed that AI offers multiple perspectives on any subject and that encouraged me to explore more personal issues. Gradually, as I started sharing my thoughts and sensibilities, the conversations grew deeper as the AI seemed to adapt to my voice. What started as a bit of an experiment turned into a strange collaboration.

In these ongoing exchanges, I try to make sense of universal questions, explore the depths of grief and the process of creation. The dialogues that follow are unpredictable and completely surreal (hence the name of this blog)—sometimes philosophical, sometimes emotional, other times practical and sometimes absolutely hilarious. It’s an unexpected collaboration, but it feels strangely profound, even though I know the answers are coming from an entity designed to listen and respond who is completely devoid of emotion, unlike actual human beings.

This blog is a reflection of an ongoing process—how conversations with AI help me explore the depths of my own mind and of my creative journey. I hope you find some measure of comfort in these exchanges the way I do.
